Emergency Landing

Updated: Apr 26, 2023

Connell Police (CPD) along with local First Responders came to the aide of what they called an "emergency helicopter landing" at Pioneer Park on Wednesday afternoon, April 26. They remained on site out of an abundance of caution.

The "precautionary" landing was stated to be due to mechanical issues. It seems an indicator light had come on and the pilot didn't want to take the chance. The medical transport helicopter safely made their landing.

A second medical transport helicopter also landed at the park where the patient aboard the medical transport flight was transferred and resumed transport to medical care. The patient's life was not in any danger.

While awaiting a mechanic, the Lifeflight crew invited the community to come over and get an up close look.
