(l-r) Hadley Bleazard- Miss Tri-Cities Teen with Miss Washington Hermona Girmay and Kylie Glendenning Miss Tri-Cities.
It was a long night, but one that was filled with talent, poise, and some noteworthy platforms as contestants vied for Miss Tri-Cities and Miss Tri-Cities Teen 2025.
Ultimately, it was Franklin County that shined brite, with not one, but two Franklin County Natives being named to the top spots of the night.
First to be named was Miss Tri-Cities Teen which went to Hadley Bleazard, a student in the Pasco School District, and the daughter of Kevin and Alayna Bleazard. When Bleazard’s name was called, you could hear cheers ring out from the audience. It appeared she had quite the cheering squad.
Miss Connell 2022 Kylie Glendenning was in total disbelief as her name was called on Saturday, July 20. Glendenning stepped forward, nearly flabbergasted, that she had just received the honor of being named Miss Tri-Cities 2025.
Glendenning is the daughter of Matt and Christina (Tina) Glendenning of Mesa, and a 2023 alum of Connell High School.

Glendenning later told the Franklin County Graphic, “A quote that was really on my heart this weekend was the verse, ‘Not by power, nor by might, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts. - Zechariah 4:6.’...I’m excited to represent the Tri-Cities and combat trafficking to protect our youth and empower survivors to step into a life of freedom.”
Glendenning initially competed in 2023, taking the runner up spot and grand total of $5,900 in scholarships. At that time she told us, “Through Miss Tri-Cities I’ve been able to earn scholarships to afford my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling to one day work with sex trafficked survivors. I’ve gotten the opportunity to partner with Mirror Ministries and fund-raised restorative care packages for sex-trafficked survivors.”
Her goal hasn’t wavered and her passion for her platform has only increased and now, as Miss Tri-Cities, she will have even more opportunities to serve those affected by sex trafficking. As Miss Tri-Cities she will serve the community through her platform educating our community-schools, churches, businesses, nonprofits on trafficking, how to identify, and who to call. She shared that she will be there to support victims of trafficking through donating care packages and raising money for another minor restoration home for sex trafficked youth. Stating, “We only have one in the state so far.” She will also be doing legal advocacy in Olympia to lobby for harsher laws for traffickers/buyers and individuals who harbor CSAM (child sexual abuse material).
Glendenning added, “I’m very grateful for these scholarship programs because both Miss Connell and Miss Tri-Cities I have won over $22,000 combined and have paid off my bachelors degree without student loans. I will graduate, Lord willing, this November from the University of Phoenix and start my masters degree in January in clinical mental health counseling.“
As Miss Tri Cities, Glendenning received a $10,000 educational scholarship, $1,300 for wardrobe, and community gifts and awards totaling $2,415. Glendenning also received the top talent award for her vocal performance ($750 scholarship), the top interview award ($750 scholarship), and the Living Your Community Service Initiative Award ($500 scholarship).
The Miss Tri-Cities Scholarship program is sponsored by the Tri-Cities Water Follies Association. The program offers over $20,000 in scholarships thanks to local community donations. Miss Tri-Cities is part of the Miss America Association. Glendenning will be competing at Miss Washington this year along with Bleazard, who will compete in the Miss Washington Teen competition. The winner of Miss Washington will represent the state at the Miss America Pageant.
You can also catch them at parades, events, and on the evening news during the Tri-Cities Water Follies (which starts this weekend).
Miss Tri-Cities strives to inspire and motivate the accomplishments and personal achievements of these young women to reach their educational goals and dreams. The organization's website shared, "Opportunities are provided for young women to expand a quest for knowledge and acquire skills to better equip them for future success."
